About the Role

Direct care providers work with individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. They provide basic assistance and guidance to ensure a safe and healthy living environment. Direct care providers assist individuals to be independent and participate in community activites.

Requirements

  1. Age. Be at least

eighteen (18) years of age.


  1. Criminal History

Check. Have satisfactorily

completed a criminal history check

in accordance with IDAPA

16.05.06

  1. Education. a

high school graduate, or have a

GED or demonstrate the ability to

provide services according to a

plan of service.


  1. First Aid and CPR

Certification. Be certified in first

aid and Cardio-Pulmonary

Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

(Our Agency Will Provide if Not Acquired).


  1. "Assistance with Medications”

course available through the Idaho

Division of Career Technical

Education, or other Department approved training.

(Our Agency Will Provide if Not Acquired).


  1. Health. signed statement maintained by

the agency that he or she is free from

communicable disease,

understands universal precautions,

and follows agency policies and

procedures regarding

communicable disease.
